Lourdes

This is a picture of the whole group at Lourdes by the river. We have been pilgrims what seems like forever (in a good way), but really it has been such a small amount of time. Today we experienced a new height in spiritual tourism in our visit to Lourdes. It's the 150th anniversary of the miracle (Mary appearing to Bernadette), so it's a very busy and exciting place to be.

Tomorrow the pilgrims go over the mountain, to see what we can see.

Hi Amanda,

It's Professor (Bro.) Strong,

I was thrilled to see you are blogging for your trip. I am really jealous. I have always wanted to do the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. You're in for a real treat when you arrive there -- it's a beautiful town, though I can hardly imagine that the route to Santiago is not something to behold as well, no? I am in Mexico with 36 students and having a great time here, though I'm missing my family. I was thinking about the "branch" too -- they must really be hurting for a piano player with you in France/Spain and me in Mexico.

Send me an e-mail if you get a chance.

Profe. Strong

P.S. Please tell Dr. Survilla I said 'hello' from Mexico!
